Alabama Aerospace Fellowship

InternsThe U.S. Space & Rocket Center is proud to host the Alabama Aerospace Fellowship in partnership with the Alabama Aerospace and Defense Council. The Fellowship will be an offering of the Rocket Center’s Space Camp Institute, which focuses on workforce and professional development.

This valuable program builds off an internship program created as the vision of Lieutenant Governor Will Ainsworth in collaboration with Lockheed Martin.

The Fellowship is designed for aged 15-18. Thanks to support from corporate partners and the State of Alabama, there is no cost to attend.

Students selected to participate as Alabama Aerospace Fellows will be given a front row seat to the amazing aerospace ecosystem across Alabama. The program includes a Virtual Symposium led by the Space Camp Institute and industry leaders and a Residency experience based in Huntsville, AL.

The Residency brings fellows together to explore fundamental aerospace concepts while developing professional skills the workplace demands including personal communication skills, teamwork and leadership, gratitude and giving back, and building a professional network.

Fellows will also visit academic institutions and leading aerospace facilities meeting the best and the brightest in Alabama’s aerospace workforce. They will see firsthand the exciting work done here in their state. Fellows leave with a vision of their future in Alabama’s Aerospace.
