The Archives of the U.S. Space & Rocket Center contains some of the most interesting information on Space, on Earth

  • The papers of Dr. Wernher von Braun and other rocket scientists - 108 linear feet of Von Braun's documents alone!

  • A collection of thousands of books.

  • Technical documents pertaining to the early space program.

  • All of NASA's special publications from the early years.

  • Congressional records from the early space program.

  • Science Fiction data from the 1920's forward.

  • The papers of WWII Ordinance officers.

The U.S. Space & Rocket Center's Archives also owns the space collection of the Technical Advisor for the movie, "2001: A Space Odyssey," Frederick Ordway III. He had one of the biggest collections of space things ever!

The U.S. Space & Rocket Center Archives welcomes researchers during specific hours:

Monday through Friday 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM and 1:30 PM - 4:30 PM

A fee schedule is available on request.

To arrange an appointment prior notification is necessary.
